The longest standing member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Jack Cousin teaches all levels and all ages, from beginning bass to training and coaching for a professional career.  Studio in Orange County or online.

Andrea Comsky- Cello


Andrea Comsky has performed and taught cello in Southern California for over 50 years. She attended USC School of Music and has worked in local orchestras and the motion picture  and television studios. She has performed extensively in chamber music ensembles with members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She was a founding member of the Los Angeles Cello Quartet.

Ms. Comsky is one of Los Angeles' most experienced cello teachers. She has taught at the prestigious Buckley School, Stephen S. Wise School, and Paul Revere Middle School to name only a few. She has also coached cello for several public schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District and Santa Monica High School. In addition, Ms. Comsky enjoys teaching cello to adults who have always wanted to learn the cello, or return to playing after a long absence.

Ms. Comsky believes that music lessons should be a joy, and encourages a nurturing, supportive, and fun environment for her students. She teaches cello lessons In person in her San Clemente studio or virtually online.

Jack Cousin- Bass

Jack Cousin is the longest standing member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, having been hired by Zubin Mehta in 1974 while still a student at the New England Conservatory of Music.

Originally from Boston, Mr. Cousin participated in the Tanglewood and Temple Music Festivals.

Throughout his extensive career, Mr. Cousin has performed internationally with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, including the Chamber Music Society and Green Umbrella Series.

Widely respected as a bass teacher, he has taught all levels, from elementary to the university level, as well as the LA Phil's educational programs. Several of his students have gone on to careers in music.

Mr. Cousin accepts students of all ages and levels. Lessons are taught in person in his Orange County studio or virtually online.
